Frequently Asked Questions

A connector is one configured data source: one WMS instance, one TMS API endpoint, or one EDI feed. If you have Manhattan Associates WMS in two separate facilities with different databases, that's two connectors. Multi-tenant 3PL setups — where a single WMS instance holds data for multiple clients in separate schemas — count as one connector on the Growth plan, and as one client-tenant unit on the Enterprise plan.
The Growth plan includes a 14-day free trial with full feature access. We don't require a credit card to start the trial. During the trial period, you can connect up to 3 sources and run pipelines on real data. At the end of the trial, you either subscribe or your pipelines are paused (data is not deleted for 30 days).
Credentials are stored with AES-256 encryption. All data in transit uses TLS 1.3. Staging data (intermediate rows during transformation) is encrypted at rest and deleted within 24 hours of successful delivery. We do not store your logistics data long-term — the normalized output goes directly to your destination. If you use the self-hosted agent mode, raw data never leaves your network. Our SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress with expected completion in Q3 2025.
If your WMS has a documented JDBC/ODBC interface or a REST API, MLPipeLab can connect to it using the generic connector and declarative YAML config. You'll handle the schema mapping yourself rather than getting pre-seeded mappings. For systems without a standard interface, Enterprise customers can request custom connector development. We've built connectors for regional WMS vendors not in our standard library — typical delivery time is 3-4 weeks.
Yes. You can upgrade at any time and the new connector capacity is available immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the next billing cycle. If you downgrade below your current active connector count, you'll be asked to deactivate connectors before the downgrade completes — active pipelines are never automatically deactivated without your action.
